Introducing  Pastor  Akhtar  Bashir Khokhar and the Ray of Life Foundation!

Pastor Akhtar has been a Christian minister for 15 years, and the Ray of Life Foundation’s mission is to reach people in those places that are considered unreachable, to support those in all manner of crisis, and to present the gift of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

 

A mere seven-man and four-woman team runs this vital foundation in District 4 in Pakistan, and their objectives are extensive, as is the area they cover.  

 

The Republic of Pakistan is a sovereign country in South Asia.  With a population exceeding 180 million people, it is the sixth most populous country in the world with an area covering 796,095 km and is the 36th largest country in the world in terms of area.  First and foremost, the Ray of Life Foundation undertakes the work of teaching and preaching the Gospel, teaching and running both a daily Bible school and a Sunday school program, and adult Bible Education Centers.

 

They also live the word of God by helping those who are most vulnerable, such as widows, orphans, and the disabled.  There are programs for distributing gifts to deserving children such as clothes, books, food and toys, and a youth ministry that includes rehabilitation for those addicted to drugs.

 

Free medical care, wheelchairs and ambulance services for both routine medical care and victims of disasters and persecution are also provided, along with a women’s ministry and assistance to younger women who are to be married. their desperate need for support has been answered by Pastor Akhtar Bashir Khokhar’s call and his team from his church.

They began by organizing programs for the affected children in their own area, but soon God called them to visit other areas, eventually ending up working in District 4, where they have set up two Bible schools.   Ray of Life Foundation was born.

 

The foundation is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization, and is, instead, registered under The Societies Registration Act of 1860.  This Act applies to charitable societies with a wide range of public benefit purposes, which allows us to operate a Christian organization within a Muslim-governed country.

 

All people are equally deserving of the opportunity to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and to receive support from other Christians.  Our greatest success story is the foundation itself; we have come far from humble beginnings.  God gave me a vision to begin this ministry, He guided me to my team, who are made up of other dedicated pastors and church members, and He has blessed our work and enabled our foundation to succeed

 

The Ray of Life Foundation has a vision of reaching many more people, children and adults, to share the Word of God with and financially support them while continuing all the wonderful ministries  they have already established.
